Staff and students from Kenneth Shuler Schools of Cosmetology's North Augusta campus hosted a "Back to School" Drive on Tuesday, August 3rd and the event was a HUGE success!

The drive was aimed at helping school-aged children in grades K through 12 prepare for the start of a brand new school year. Children were able to choose from several different cuts and styles, all of which were performed by Kenneth Shuler students under the supervision of licensed instructors.  When it was all said and done, the school gave away more than 65 haircuts!

A very special thanks goes out to all of the community businesses who helped make the day such a success.  These businessses include Augusta Tech Barber School, Axis Barber Salon, Hypnotic Riders for Haircuts, WAMJ Radio, Rip City Ryders, Final Chapter Motorcycle Club, WBBQ Radio, and Old School-New School Motorcycle Club.

We wish all of this year's participants a great upcoming school year!

The 2010 "Mr. Canine Carolina" pageant was held on Wednesday, June 23rd at Jillian's in Columbia and was a huge success!

The event was put on by Project Pet, an organization devoted to rescuing animals scheduled for euthanasia from shelters in the Midlands area.

Students and staff from Kenneth Shuler's Columbia schools helped the contestants get ready for their big moment on the stage.  They helped them with hair, makeup, and nails and made them look their VERY best!

Kenneth Shuler Schools of Cosmetology has wrapped up its Souper Bowl of Caring fundraiser and is proud to announce that a grand total of $2,284.63 has been distributed to charity organizations across the state.

All six of Kenneth Shuler's schools participated in the fundraiser and donated the monies they raised to the charity or cause of their choice.  Such organizations included the House of Hope in Florence, the Second Presbyterian Church Soup Kitchen in Spartanburg, and the Children's Attention Home in Rock Hill.

In addition, Mr. Kenneth Shuler, President and CEO of Kenneth Shuler Schools of Cosmetology, graciously agreed to donate an additional $1,142.31 to the Souper Bowl of Caring's corporate headquarters in Columbia to assist with some of their operating costs.

Kenneth Shuler Schools of Cosmetology is proud to announce that its sixth annual "Cuts for Cancer" event, which was held on March 21st and 22nd at the company’s St. Andrews Road and Garners Ferry Road campuses in Columbia, was a huge success!

Kenneth Shuler Schools of Cosmetology wowed guests of The Bell Auditorium in Augusta, GA when they came to see the Broadway hit "Hairspray" on February 15th.

Patrons received free haircut and manicure coupons when they stopped by the Kenneth Shuler booth in the front lobby and were able to get their hair styled in their favorite 1960s 'do at no charge in the "KS Salon"!  Students and staff from the North Augusta campus teased, sprayed, and pinned around 40 audience members' hair into beehives, bouffants, and flips!  Without a doubt, KS was a HUGE hit with young and old alike!
