I started at Kenneth Shuler in August of 2008 as a guy with a dream of making the world beautiful. The problem, though, was that I had no plan. Kenneth Shuler gave me the start I was looking for by teaching me skills in hair, make-up, and nails.

These talents have already proven to be valuable as I've been selected to style hair and demonstrate make-up techniques at several events including fashion shows, legislative breakfasts, and career days. At one of the events, I met a photographer who loved my work. As a result, I now have a new dream of becoming a fashion stylist. Without Kenneth Shuler, this would never have happened.

Because I am a licensed cosmetologist, I am employed at University Hospital in Augusta, Georgia in the Breast Health Center. The main part of my job is to help women who have suffered hair loss due to chemotherapy and radiation. I fit and style them with cranial prostheses (wigs), hats and scarves. I am also in the process of being trained and certified as a bra and breast prosthesis fitter.

Because of Kenneth Shuler, the doors of employment opportunity were swung wide open for me to walk into a job that not only helps provide financially for me and my family, but also lets me help women in their greatest hour of need.

Because of the instructors and friendly staff at Kenneth Shuler Schools of Cosmetology, I now have a new and fulfilling career that I love. I owe it all to them!
