As the Salon Coordinator at the St. Andrews Rd. campus, I am excited to implement new and positive changes that will enhance our Business Fundamentals program. The staff and students of the St. Andrews campus are quite fortunate to have their own nail program, which gives students the opportunity to specialize in the application and maintenance of nail enhancements, as well as the overall health of the hands and feet. That being said, we at SARD would like to send out a big ‘thank you’ to Molly, Tracy and Mr. Shuler for purchasing our new OPI product display. This retail exhibit gives the students in our nail department the same opportunity as those in the cosmetology department. It allows them to put part of our BF program to work in educating them on the maintenance of all things related to nails, and ultimately servicing the needs of our clients!

A bit of an update – I just flew in from the Orlando Premiere Beauty Show, and boy, are my “feathers” tired! This season, it’s all about feather hair extensions! This was the newest and most exciting trend at the show, and after some waiting here at SARD, we are happy to be offering these hair accessoriesas a service in our schools! Just to show you how popular these hair accessories are…on Saturday, July 9 we sold 10 feather packets in one day alone! We’re also excited to be expanding our professional product line to include Redken retail items!

So, with our expanding choices of retail lines and the integration of new and exciting client services,we are ecstatic about the future and helping our students to grow on an individual, person-to-person basis. I am confident all of these changes will give them a head-start advantage in a very competitive field.
