There's still one more work day left to this week, but I can truly say that I am absolutely, positively EXHAUSTED (in a completely good way, of course!). That's because for the past four days, our corporate office has been transformed by the lights, cameras, and flashes of world-renowned hair photographers Chip Foust and Tom Carson. These two wonderful men have been photographing the hair designs of our students in the hopes that their work (pictures) will be published in national hair magazines.
Now I know that as a KS employee I'm biased, but I must say that our students have done an unbelievable job this week on their models. I had the privilege of seeing all of them since I'm one of the photo shoot organizers and there's no doubt that these young ladies and gentlemen looked like they had walked straight out of the pages of a fashion magazine! The students at Kenneth Shuler Schools never cease to amaze me with their creativity and hair handiwork!
Besides getting to interact a little more with our students this week (as the PR Specialist, I usually work at the corporate office instead of the schools), I have also thoroughly enjoyed getting to know Tom Carson and Chip Foust. They have been so generous to all of the Kenneth Shuler staff and students and have truly welcomed us into their fast-paced worlds. That's the beauty of events like this....not only do our students get more practice doing hair, get to have fabulous pictures for their portfolios, and have the chance to be featured in national hair magazines....they also get to revel in the experience of a professional photo shoot! That's something that you just can't put a monetary value on!
This is the third year that I have had the opportunity to be involved with the photo shoots and they just keep getting better and better. These events are just one of the ways that Kenneth Shuler Schools of Cosmetology works to push its students "above and beyond" and are one of the reasons why I continue to be inspired by this company.
Way to go KS students!!! It's been a memorable week...and one you should certainly be proud of!
Now...is it Friday yet???!!! :)
